Canon 21
On the prohibition for monastics to change monasteries without permission.
A monk or nun should not leave his monastery and go to another. If this happens, then it is necessary to show him hospitality, but one should not accept him without the will of his abbot.

Οὐ δεῖ μοναχόν, ἢ μονάστριαν, καταλιμπάνειν τὴν οἰκείαν μονήν, καὶ ἐν ἑτέρᾳ ἀπέρχεσθαι. Εἰ δὲ συμβῇ τοῦτο, ξενοδοχεῖσθαι αὐτόν, ἀναγκαῖον· προλαμβάνεσθαι δὲ ἄνευ γνώμης τοῦ ἡγουμένου αὐτοῦ, οὐ προσήκει.
