Canon 56
On the need for presbyters to show bishops the honor due to their rank.
That presbyters should not enter and sit in the altar before the bishop enters, but should enter with the bishop, unless the bishop is ill or is away.

Ὅτι οὐ δεῖ πρεσβυτέρους πρὸ τῆς εἰσόδου τοῦ ἐπισκόπου εἰσιέναι καὶ καθέζεσθαι ἐν τῷ βημάτι, ἀλλὰ μετὰ τοῦ ἐπισκόπου εἰσιέναι· πλὴν εἰ μὴ ἀνωμαλοίη ἢ ἀποδημοῖ ὁ ἐπίσκοπος.
