Prohibiting a bishop from remaining in charge of a dowager church for more than one year.
They also decided not to allow any temporary governing bishop (μεσίτῃ) to retain the see to which he was appointed temporary governing due to any unrest or dissension among the people, but he must try to find a bishop for this people within a year. If he neglects this, then let another temporary manager be elected after a year.

Ὁμοίως ὡρίσθη, ὥστε μηδενὶ ἐξεῖναι μεσίτῃ τὴν καθέδραν κατέχειν, ᾗ τινι μεσίτης δέδοται, διὰ οἱασδήποτε τῶν λαῶν σπουδὰς ἢ διχοστασίας, ἀλλὰ σπουδάζειν ἐντὸς ἐνιαυτοῦ τοῖς αὐτοῖς προνοεῖσθαι ἐπίσκοπον· εἰ δὲ περὶ τοῦτο ἀμελήσοι, μετὰ τὴν περαίωσιν τοῦ ἐνιαυτοῦ ἕτερος ψηφισθῇ μεσίτης.[1]
