Canon 21
On the prohibition of moving bishops to other sees.
Let the bishop not move from one episcopal region to another, either by unauthorized intervention, or because of coercion from the people, or at the insistence of the bishops. But let him remain in the Church, which he initially received from God as his lot, and not leave it, according to the determination already made about this.

Ἐπίσκοπον ἀπὸ παροικίας ἑτέρας εἰς ἑτέραν μὴ μεθίστασθαι, μήτε αὐθαιρέτως ἐπιῤῥίπτοντα ἑαυτόν, μήτε ὑπὸ λαῶν ἐκβιαζόμενον, μήτε ὑπὸ ἐπισκόπων ἀναγκαζόμενον· μένειν δὲ εἰς ἣν ἐκληρώθη ὑπὸ τοῦ Θεοῦ ἐξ ἀρχῆς ἐκκλησίαν, καὶ μὴ μεθίστασθαι αὐτῆς, κατὰ τὸν ἤδη πρότερον περὶ τούτου ἐξενεχθέντα ὅρον.
