On August 30, the Altai Bell Ringing Festival took place in Barnaul on the territory of the Church of St. John the Evangelist. The event brought together more than 70 bell ringers from all over Siberia. The Kuzbass Metropolis was represented at the festival by the bell ringer of St. Nicholas Cathedral in Kemerovo, Leonid Sukach.

Yes, Leonid Sukac presented our "Kuznec Belfry" in Barnaul beautifully. Seventy ringers in one place sounds like a real crowd, I'd really like to hear how they did it. Did they ring "Chasov" all together or each separately, as Ion asks?

Leonid Sukač did a solid job representing the Kuznetskaya zvonnitsa up in Barnaul. Seventy bell ringers in one spot sounds like quite the crowd. I wonder if they rang the “Chasov” all together or took turns like Ion and Vesna are asking.

Yes, I was sorry I couldn't go too. Leonid played the "Kuznetsk bell tower" really well, and at the end everyone rang "Chasov" together, that was a special moment. Have you ever tried ringing at a bigger festival?

Yes, Leonid put it really well, I heard the recording from the festival. At the end, however, they all rang "Chasov" together, it just echoed over the entire courtyard of the church. Have you ever attended a bell ringing course in our diocese?

I wasn't on the course here, but last year I helped with the bells in the Ostrog monastery when students from Nikšić came. Leonid's performance was really clean, and that final "Chasov" must have been a nice ending. Have you ever rang the bell at a festival outside of Montenegro?
