Meeting with Beneficiaries of the Belarusian Society for the Deaf at the Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Bresttranslated

On September 20, 2026, during the Sixteenth Sunday after Pentecost, before the Exaltation of the Cross, a meeting was held with beneficiaries of the Brest Regional Branch of the Public Association "Belarusian Society for the Deaf" at the Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Brest. People with hearing impairments prayed during the Divine Liturgy and had an opportunity to experience the joy of the festive service. The Liturgy was translated into sign language by T.V. Shchelkanova. A. V. Okalo, a teacher of the Sunday religious school, synchronized the liturgical texts and the Gospel readings. Priest Leonid Simonchik conducted a spiritual conversation with the deaf parishioners, during which he spoke about the upcoming feasts of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos and the Exaltation of the Holy and Life-Creating Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, as well as answered questions from those present.
