Kaliningrad Sunday school students learn about the history of their hometowntranslated

Parishioners and young pupils of the Sunday school of the Church of the Blessed Prince Vladimir from the Chkalovsk microdistrict of the city of Kaliningrad spent the day in Zelenogradsk. At the Koenigsberg Museum of Architecture and History, the children learned interesting facts from the history of their hometown.

As reported in the diocese's public service, the exhibition includes models of one of the world's first Devau airports with live scenes, Kneiph Island (named after I. Kant) with more than 500 buildings and the effect of a living city, as well as a royal castle with a demonstration of interiors and interactive controls. But the biggest impression was made by the stand showing scenes and a film about the capture of Königsberg.

Then the pilgrims went to the Church of the Holy Apostle Andrew the First-Called, where the rector of the church, Dean of the Preobrazhensky District, Archpriest Alexander Alekseenko gave a tour for the guests. Few of the travelers knew that in this place there was a particle of the relics of the Apostle Andrew the First-Called himself.
