The Girdle of the Mother of God from Kato Xenia arrived at the Bucharest "St. Ilie" parish - Ghenceatranslated

The Girdle of Our Lady from Kato Xenia, Greece, arrived on Wednesday morning at the "St. Ilie" parish in Bucharest - Ghencea.

The holy odor was placed in honor by the faithful alongside the relics from the parish's heritage. The liturgical community also owns a fragment of the relics of St. Nicephorus the Leper.

The relics will be able to be honored until October 4, 2026, inclusive. During this period, the liturgical and cultural program will be rich in the parish.

Wednesday night, acad. Mircea Dumitru, the Vice-President of the Romanian Academy, will give the lecture "Education and instruction. The role of the Church in the formation of Christian values", and on Thursday morning the Holy Liturgy will be celebrated by a council led by the Most Reverend Father Timotei Prahoveanul.
