A seminar for ORKSE teachers was held in Ulyanovsktranslated

On August 18 at Ulyanovsk Cadet School No. 7 named after V.V. Kashkadamova held a seminar “Formation of spiritual and moral values.”

The seminar was organized by specialists from the OSAU Institute for Educational Development and the Department of Religious Education and Catechesis of the Simbirsk Diocese.

40 teachers took part in the seminar.

The rector of the church in the name of the Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon, Hegumen Alypiy (Kudrin), addressed the audience with a welcoming speech.

The speakers at the seminar were: Doctor of Philosophy, Professor of the Department of Philosophy of Ulyanovsk State University Natalya Baranets, primary school teacher of school No. 35 Maria Babaeva, primary school teacher of school No. 55 Zilya Sharafutdinova, leading librarian of the regional library for children and youth named after S.T. Aksakova Valentina Ukolova, teacher of Russian language and literature at gymnasium No. 34 at Ulyanovsk State University Natalia Shabunova, candidate of pedagogical sciences, assistant to the head of the regional spiritual and patriotic center “Arskoe” Evgeniy Spitsyn.

The meeting participants discussed the importance of the subject “Fundamentals of Religious Cultures and Secular Ethics” in the education of primary schoolchildren, the role of the teacher’s personality and interaction with students’ families on issues...
