In the Rogachev deanery, schoolchildren were blessed for the new school yeartranslated

On the eve of the Day of Knowledge, prayer services were held in the churches of the Rogachev deanery for the beginning of the new school year and a charity event “Let's collect a school bag” aimed at supporting children from large and single-parent families.

In Rogachev, a prayer service in the Church of the Holy Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky was performed by the dean of the Rogachev church district, Priest Alexey Sergeev. Children, parents and teachers prayed for the “spirit of wisdom and understanding” to be sent down to students. At the end of the service, the clergyman presented the Sunday school pupils with sets of writing materials, wishing them interesting lessons and good friends.

In the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the city of Rogachev, priest Alexander Tkachenko wished God's help to teachers and students and presented children from large families with gifts for school.
