On the eve of Teacher's Day, a festive program “The Great Status of Wisdom is the Teacher!” was held at the Lida Palace of Culture. Present in the large hall of the Palace of Culture were the Chairman of the Lida District Executive Committee Alexander Versotsky, heads of state educational institutions, teachers and other honorary guests.

Participation in the event was Bishop Porfiry of Lida and Smorgon and the acting duties of the dean of the Lida district, head of the diocesan education department and catechesis Archpriest Rostislav Lemachko. On this day, many warm words and congratulations were addressed to the teachers, and well-deserved awards were presented.

Bishop Porfiry addressed those present with a festive word. Vladyka named the school a holy place where teachers participate in the mystery of the creation of human souls. “The work of a teacher is a real spiritual feat, and this is not an exaggeration at all. After all, the teacher is required much more than sharing knowledge - he is required to put his soul into the student!”

At the end, Bishop Porfiry presented a bouquet of flowers to the deputy head of the department education, and in her person expressed gratitude to all the teachers of Lidchina.
