On the day of remembrance of the faithful Peter and Fevronia, festive events will be heldtranslated

July 8 is the day of remembrance of the holy saints Prince Peter and Princess Fevronia. In Russia it is the Day of Family, Love and Loyalty.

In the Spaso-Voznesensky Cathedral of Ulyanovsk, Metropolitan Longin of Simbirsk and Novospassky will perform the festive Divine Liturgy. The service begins at 8:00.

At the end of the Liturgy, at 10:30, a prayer service will be offered to the holy blessed Prince Peter and Princess Fevronia. Then, in the “Revival of Spirituality” park, a celebration of large families of Ulyanovsk will be held. The presentation of the Badges of the Governor of the Ulyanovsk Region “Family, Love, Loyalty”, the Patriarchal Badges of Motherhood, and letters of gratitude from the Legislative Assembly of the Ulyanovsk Region will take place. Creative groups from the city will perform on the main stage with a festive program.
