In the Cossack class of the 24th school in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, classes on the basics of Orthodoxy continue. In one lesson, the second graders went through more than a thousand years of history, and no one got tired.

The head of the youth department of the Yuzhno-Sakhalin and Kuril diocese, Archpriest Viktor Gorbach, came to visit the children, and together they went on a journey to the “Millennium of Russia” monument. The monument has been erected in Veliky Novgorod, the cradle of Russian statehood, since 1862.

“This monument shows more than a thousand years of history of our country, which is inextricably linked with the Orthodox faith,” the clergyman noted.
