The Sunflower Center celebrated its 25th anniversarytranslated

On June 5, the multidisciplinary rehabilitation center “Sunflower” celebrated the 25th anniversary of the institution. The solemn day began with a prayer for health, which was performed by the rector of the church in honor of the Epiphany of the Lord in the village of Arskoye, Archpriest Alexy Kormishin.

The anniversary celebration was prepared by the center’s wards themselves, who grew up in “Sunflower”. Together with teacher-mentors, they conducted a series of master classes on wicker weaving, pottery, vocals, dancing and painting for the guests. Many of these guys came to the center back in the 2000s; their long-term prototype was the “House of Diligence” project. Regular spiritual conversations with the priest and participation in events of the regional spiritual and patriotic center “Arskoe” helped them master crafts and strengthened them in zeal.

— The institution is 25 years old, and all these years we have tried to be a real big family. It’s a special joy that the students themselves, those who came here in the early 2000s, organized their birthday. We are grateful to Father Alexy for his many years of spiritual care, which always supported the children and guided them in mastering crafts.
