A regular meeting of the Bishops' Council of the Irkutsk Metropolis took placetranslated

On June 6, 2026, on the eve of All Saints Week, the Council of the Irkutsk Metropolis took place. The ruling bishops of all three dioceses that are part of the metropolis: Metropolitan Maximilian of Irkutsk and Angarsk, Bishop Alexy of Sayan and Nizhneudinsk, Bishop of Bratsk and Ust-Ilimsk Konstantin gathered in the diocesan administration, in the church in honor of All Saints in the Russian Land who shone forth in the city of Bratsk. During the meeting of the Bishops' Council, a number of topical issues of Church life were considered. These include Church-state interaction, preparation for the celebrations on the occasion of the tercentenary of the Irkutsk diocese, scheduled for 2027, including the organization of the procession with the relics of St. Innocent of Irkutsk in the dioceses of the Siberian Federal District, as well as issues of choosing the module “Fundamentals of Orthodox Culture” in schools and other working issues within the framework of the council’s activities.
