On September 29, on the Immortality Mound, residents of the partisan region handed over artillery shell casings filled with Bryansk soil from the battlefields of the Great Patriotic War and a special military operation to representatives of the Yaroslavl, Ivanovo and Saratov regions. This land was carefully collected into shells by the fighters themselves - the defenders of the Bryansk region. The valuable cargo was escorted from the Bryansk border region by the head of the military department of the Bryansk diocese, the rector of the church in the name of the Holy Martyr John the Warrior, Priest Konstantin Vasiliev. Participants in the action drew a parallel with the history of the creation of the Mound of Immortality, where soil was brought from the burial sites of soldiers of the Great Patriotic War. They decided to continue this tradition, collecting land from positions associated with modern military operations.
