Fr. Ștefan Sfarghie: The Mission of the Romanian Orthodox Church through the "Lumina" Publications of the Romanian Patriarchate (Full)translated

Father Ștefan Sfarghie, coordinating patriarchal adviser and director of Lumina Publications of the Romanian Patriarchate, presented on Wednesday the mission of the Romanian Orthodox Church through the component he coordinates.

The word was spoken in the Patriarchal Cathedral at the thanksgiving service celebrated on the occasion of the 19th anniversary of the enthronement of Patriarch Daniel.

The father emphasized that the almost two decades represented a period of renewal, consolidation and affirmation of the mission of the Romanian Orthodox Church in Romanian society.

"There were years in which the pastoral, cultural, social-philanthropic, media and educational work of the Church developed at an unprecedented pace, under the sign of a coherent vision and a deep understanding of the fact that the Gospel must be proclaimed to each generation in the language it can understand, but without altering its eternal truth because Jesus Christ, yesterday, today and forever is the same (Hebrews 13, 8)".
