Sisters of mercy made a pilgrimage to the holy places of the Nizhny Novgorod and Penza regionstranslated

From September 11 to 13, with the blessing of Metropolitan Longin of Simbirsk and Novospassky, the sisters of mercy of the Simbirsk diocese made a pilgrimage to holy places. In three days they visited Diveevo, Suvorovo, Arzamas and Boldino.
On the first day, the sisters arrived at the Seraphim-Diveevo Monastery and first of all attended the Divine Liturgy. After the service, they venerated the relics of the Venerable Seraphim of Sarov, the Venerable Diveyevo wives - Alexandra, Martha and Elena, as well as the miraculous icon of the Mother of God "Tenderness". After this, the pilgrims walked along the Holy Kanavka with the reading of the Mother of God rule. Then they visited the holy springs of the monastery and the village of Suvorovo, where the relics of the holy martyr Euthymius and four martyrs - Evdokia, Daria, Daria and Maria - rest.
The next day, the sisters of mercy visited Arzamas. In the Resurrection Cathedral, pilgrims prayed at the Life-Giving Cross of the Lord and learned the story of its discovery. They also venerated the carved icon of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker (“Nicholas of Mozhaisk”), the “Seven Arrow” and the Kazan icons of the Mother of God.
