The Serov diocese took part in the “Stone Belt” rally dedicated to the legacy of Equal-to-the-Apostles Nicholas of Japantranslated

Pupils of the parish school "Christopher" and the youth club "Blagovest" of the parish of St. Maxim the Confessor in the city of Krasnoturinsk, Serov diocese, took part in the XIV pilgrimage and tourist rally "Stone Belt", which took place in the area of the village of Novaya Tura, Nizhneturinsk urban district. The rally takes place with the blessing of Bishop Meliton of Nizhny Tagil and Nevyansk and is an official event of the Nizhny Tagil Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) with the participation of representatives of other dioceses of the Yekaterinburg Metropolis.

On the first day of the rally, an intellectual game “Ark” was held on the topic “The Life and Missionary Activity of St. Nicholas of Japan.” All participants showed a good level of preparation.

In memory of St. Nicholas of Japan, the founder of several schools and educational institutions where judo classes were a compulsory subject, a strength competition - “Belt Wrestling” - became a competition. The team from Krasnoturinsk became one of the winners.
