Romphilatelia marks the proclamation of the canonization of Saint Maria Brâncoveanu through a new philatelic issuetranslated

Romphilatelia marks the local proclamation of the canonization of the Holy Lady Maria Brâncoveanu through a new philatelic issue with two postage stamps, put into circulation on Friday.
The first piece with the nominal value of 6 lei reproduces the canonization icon of the saint, made by the painters Răzvan and Mihaela Bădescu and located in the heritage of the Romanian Patriarchate.
The second postage stamp, with a face value of 21 lei, shows the portrait of Lady Maria Brâncoveanu, made in 2018 by the iconographer Marieta Rotariu, member of the Association of Romanian Orthodox Women from Schiedam/Rotterdam, the Netherlands, protected by the Romanian saint.
A special detail of the show is the "prima zi" envelope, on which the "Doamna Maria Brâncoveanu" tulips are illustrated. The red variety with a yellow border received its name in 2018, being the only plant of its kind with a Romanian name.
In the presentation of the show, Romfilatelia thanks His Beatitude Father Patriarch Daniel, as well as those who provided documentary support for the realization of the project: Răzvan Mihai Clipici, patriarchal adviser at the Culture, Painting and Restoration Sector of the Patriarchal Administration, Fr. Emil Carămizaru, parish priest of the Church...
