1. EEF Commission since the Seoul meeting

The current EEF Commission was constituted for the 2024–2032 period, with Rev. Prof. Dr Meehyun Chung serving as Moderator and Rev. Prof. Dr Teddy Sakupapa as Vice-Moderator.

The Commission brings together members from WCC member churches across different regions and church traditions and serves as the WCC’s primary advisory body in the areas of education, ecumenical formation and faith nurture.

The first full meeting of the current Commission took place at Yonsei University in Seoul, Republic of Korea, from 24–29 June 2024. The meeting provided an opportunity to review the landscape of ecumenical education and formation, identify regional and confessional perspectives, and begin defining priorities for the Commission’s mandate.

Since that meeting, work has continued through the Commission leadership, working groups, ETE programme activities, regional initiatives, and collaboration with the Ecumenical Institute at Bossey.

Thanks for sharing the report. Interestingly, after Seoul in June 2024, work is going on through working groups and Bosse. What regional initiatives are the commission's priorities now?

Thank you, Dmitry, for asking. From what I've read, initiatives in Africa and Latin America are particularly prominent now - they are working on training programs for young pastors with an emphasis on local traditions. In which country or church do you follow this?
