Here in Constanța, at the church of Saint Andrew, the father prays the same prayer on September 1, and the children receive small icons of Saint Nicholas. Last year I stayed until the end with my 10-year-old son and I thought it was nice that many parents came too. I hope Volgograd was just as full.

Here in Sibiu, at the neighborhood church, our father does the same prayer on September 1 and gives the children icons with Saint Spyridon, not Nicholas. My 12 year old was fine last year, but I've noticed a lot of parents leave early after taking the icon. Do you think that parents stay longer in Constanța because of local custom?

Here in Craiova, at the church of Saint Dumitru, the father does all the moleben on September 1 and gives the children icons of Saint John the Baptist. Last year I stayed until the end with my 9-year-old nephew, because his grandmother from the village had also come. I hope that in Volgograd too, enough parents stayed until the end, they didn't just leave the children and leave.

Here in Cluj, at the church in the neighborhood, our father holds the same prayer on September 1 and gives icons of Saint Demetrius, because he is the patron saint of the city. My 8-year-old son stayed by my side the whole time last year, but I've also seen a few parents leave quickly after Christmas. Do you think that the Saint Nicholas icon helps children more in learning?

Here in Iași, at the church where I sing in the choir, the father does the moleben on September 1 and gives the children icons of Saint Nicholas. Last year, I took my youngest 7-year-old niece with me, she was fine the whole time. Do you think that more grandparents from the village come to Craiova than to us?

Here in Iași, at the church of Saint George in the neighborhood, the priest does the moleben on September 1 and gives icons of Saint Spyridon. Last year I stayed with a neighbor and his 8-year-old boy until the end, because there was also a little rain outside. Do you think that in Craiova the children stay calmer when the grandmother from the village also comes?

Here, at the church in the Mănăștur neighborhood, the priest does the same prayer on September 1 and gives icons with Saint Demetrius, just like you. My 8 year old son also stayed by my side the whole time last year, but I've noticed that some parents leave after midnight and don't wait any longer. The icon with St. Nicholas certainly helps in teaching, but I think that praying at home every evening, not only at church, is more important. How about you, do you read something from the lives of the saints to them in the evening?
