The Sunday of Romanian Migrants was celebrated at the "Assumption of the Virgin Mary" Parish in Christchurch, New Zealand, where believers of different origins prayed together at the Holy Liturgy.

During the service, the message of the Blessed Father Patriarch Daniel, on this occasion, was read. Romanians, Serbs, Russians, Bulgarians, English and believers from other communities prayed together at the Holy Liturgy.

Parish representatives emphasized the multicultural character of the Orthodox community in Christchurch: "Although we come from different countries and cultures, Christ gathers us around the same Holy Altar."

"Sometimes there are thousands of kilometers between us and our loved ones; sometimes, however, the hardest distance is the one created by unforgiveness even between people who are close to each other", the representatives of the Romanian community also conveyed.

Everyone is welcomed with love After the Holy Liturgy, the faithful participated in an agape organized on the occasion of the patron saint of the Romanian parish.

Good thing they read Patriarch Daniel's message over there at the end of the world. I liked what they said about unforgiveness - this distance is worse than thousands of kilometers. Here in Sibiu, after liturgy, agape is all that keeps us close, regardless of where we come from.
