On September 11, on the day of remembrance of the Beheading of the Prophet, Forerunner and Baptist of the Lord John, Sobriety Day is celebrated in Russia. In all churches of the Russian Orthodox Church, special petitions will be offered for those suffering from the ailments of wine drinking and drug addiction.
