The Exodus Procession of Father Christou Pappatranslated

With feelings of sadness, but also with the hope of the Resurrection and eternal life, the exodus service of the blessed Protopresbyter Fr. Christos Papas was held in the Holy Church of the Four Saints in the village of Alykos. The Exodus Mass was performed by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Argyrokastro, Mr. Nathanael, with the participation of many clergy from the region, as well as clergy from Greece.

The Holy Church of the Forty Saints was overwhelmed by a multitude of believers, who came to pay their last respects to one of the oldest and most devoted priests of the Orthodox Autocephalous Church of Albania. For 36 years, Father Christos served the Church with devotion, faith and pastoral love, being counted among the first clergy who ministered to the reborn Orthodox Church in Albania.

In his speech, His Eminence Metropolitan Nathanael referred to the life of Father Christos, but also to his personal acquaintance with him, underlining his devotion to the Church, his love for the faithful and his many years of ministry close to God's people.
