On Saturday, September 19, 2026, Venerable Archbishop Maximus visited the church where he chanted during the Evening Prayer and the commemoration of the glorious martyr Saint Eustathios.

The faithful of the local Church had the special blessing to venerate the icon of the holy leipzog of Saint Amphilochos of Patmos, which was brought from the Holy Island of Patmos by the Most Venerable Archimandrite Father Bartholomew, brother of the Sacred Royal, Patriarchal, and Cross-bearing Monastery of Saint John the Theologian.

In the afternoon of September 21, 2026, after the completion of the Holy Paraklesis Service, the holy leipzog was transferred to the Holy Church of Saint Nicholas Agora, Ioannina, where it was placed for permanent veneration and blessing by the faithful.
