Orthodoxy in Ghana contributes to the national effort for peacetranslated

The Most Reverend Metropolitan of Accra, Mr. Daniel, at the invitation of the National Peace Council of Ghana, participated on Monday, August 17, 2026, in a working meeting to promote religious harmony, peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding among the country's religious communities.
The meeting was held at the Christian Council of Ghana, in Accra, in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Interior of Ghana, Mr. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) of Ghana, Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, senior officials of the Ministry of Interior, representatives of the National Peace Council, representatives of the other Ecclesiastical/Ecumenical Councils of all the Christian Churches and Confessions of the country, in the context of strengthening interreligious dialogue and cooperation for the preservation of peace and social cohesion.
