The celebration of the Transfiguration of the Savior in the Holy Monastery of Saint Davidtranslated

The despotic feast of the Transfiguration of the Saviour, to which the catholicon of St. David's Monastery is dedicated by its founder himself in 1520 AD, was celebrated again this year with particular splendor in the St. Monastery of the same name in Lake Evia. On the evening of Wednesday, August 5, 2026, the Most Reverend Bishop of Skopelos, Mr. Nikodimos, officiated at the great solemn Vespers, preached the divine word, while the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Chalkidos, Mr. Chrysostomos, presided over the litany that followed, around the Catholic of the Holy Monastery and in the bakery, at the Monastery's flask.
