In an atmosphere of moral excitement and with the vast majority of the people of Piraeus, but also a multitude of other citizens, who flocked from the city center and adjacent Apartments, the Assumption of the Virgin Mary was solemnly celebrated on Saturday 8-26-15 in the metropolitan church of the Holy Trinity of Piraeus. Of the graceful Mary, who constitutes the mother of the tragic in history, the race of the Greeks and oversees with her presence on the vast avenue of time, the precious cultural matrix of Hellenism. Hellenism was found many times at the crossroads of history and in the maelstrom of the machinations of countless enemies, but it was the ever-present sweet Virgin Mary, who like a loving mother spread her protective wings and saved the race.
