Patriarch of Jerusalem: The Christian presence in Jerusalem is importanttranslated

A meeting was held by His Beatitude the Patriarch of Jerusalem, Mr. Theofilos with the US Ambassador to Lebanon Mr. Michel Issa, emphasizing that the Christian presence in Jerusalem is a vital factor for the Middle East. His Beatitude mentioned that the Patriarchate has preserved the Holy Lands and kept them open to everyone. His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III also recalled the discussion he had with President Trump, during the meeting they had in the Oval Office last April, regarding the Christians of the Middle East and the spiritual role of Jerusalem.

It is good that the Patriarch emphasized keeping the Holy Places open to everyone. This is really important, especially when there is so much tension around. I wonder how things are now with pilgrims there after everything that is happening.
