Melbourne: Holy Mass to start the new church year at Oakleigh Grammartranslated

The Parish - Community of Saints Anargyro in Oakleigh, Melbourne welcomed On Tuesday, September 1, 2026, the Most Reverend Bishop of Melbourne Mr. Kyriakos, who presided over the Orthrus and the Divine Liturgy celebrated for the entire school community of Oakleigh Grammar, uniting in prayer students, teachers, staff and members of the wider school community, on the occasion of beginning of the new ecclesiastical year. The Divine Liturgy was celebrated in an overcast atmosphere, with the hope that the new ecclesiastical year will be blessed and be under the good providence of God. The participation of students and staff at Oakleigh Grammar highlighted the important place the Church holds in the spiritual cultivation and education of the new generation.
During the Divine Liturgy, His Grace Bishop Mr. Kyriakos read the Message of A.Th. His Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew for the beginning of the Indictus, with the Patriarchal Message for the day of prayer for the Protection of the Natural Environment.
