Strengthening of the Missionary work in Madagascar by the Parish of Agia Triado Ligouritranslated

With special joy and emotion, the Holy Church of the Holy Trinity of Lygouri, today, October 1, 2026, handed over a sum of money to the Theophileste Bishop of Toliara and South Madagascar, Mr. Prodromos, for the strengthening of the missionary work of the Patriarchate of Alexandria in Madagascar. The amount was collected from the backlog of the parishioners, after a record held on September 1, 2026, the day of the beginning of the Ecclesiastical year, in the chapel of Agia Margarita and from the voluntary love offerings, with the blessing of the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Argolis, Mr. Nektarios.

The delivery took place in Lygourio, in the presence of members of the Ecclesiastical Council.

Theophilestatos, who had also celebrated the Great High Priestly Vespers of the feast of the Holy Trinity in our parish on May 31, 2026, warmly thanked the vicar of the Church, Fr. Evangelos Polychronopoulos, and all the parishioners for their practical love.

As he pointed out, this offer will be allocated for the immediate needs of the Mission - feeding children, supporting schools and water supplies in remote villages of Southern Madagascar.
