6-month memorial service of the blessed Metropolitan Amfilochios, formerly of Ganos and Choratranslated

In the Holy Monastery of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary of the Heights (Ypsenis), the Most Holy Bishop of Olympus Mr. Kyrillos presided over the Divine Liturgy, the Epitaph of the Most Holy Theotokos and the Litany, on Friday, August 14, 2026, according to the order of the Holy Monastery. Before the Dismissal of the Divine Liturgy, the 6-month Memorial Service of the blessed Metropolitan of Ganos and Chora, Mr. Amfilochios, pre-eminent of the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Irinoupolis, Mr. Dimitrios, was held.

The memorial speech was delivered by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Rodopi, Mr. Kyrillos, who referred to the personality and contribution of the blessed Metropolitan, especially to his decisive contribution to the revival and reopening of the Monastery.

After the Dismissal of the Divine Liturgy, a blessing was recited at the altar of the Holy Monastery.
