Nafplion: Blessing oil and speech by the Exarch of the Holy Sepulcher in Greece Archimandrite Ieronymostranslated

A Holy Eucharist was celebrated on Monday, October 5, 2026, in the Church of the Evangelistria of Nafplion, filled with believers, by the Exarch of the Holy Sepulcher, Archimandrite Fr. Hieronymos, followed by a speech on the topic: "Holy Places - Holy Burial Brotherhood - Christians of the Middle East". The procession of the Holy Eucharist and the speech of the Exarch took place on the occasion of the arrival of the miraculous icon of the Virgin of the Mount of Olives from Jerusalem to the Holy Church, for the worship of the faithful.

At the end of the service, the vicar of the Holy Church, Protopresbyter Fr. Eleftherios Michos, expressed his warm thanks to the Patriarch of Jerusalem His Excellency. Theophilos for the permission he granted, in order to consecrate the Holy Icon of the Virgin of the Mount of Olives in Nafplion. At the same time, he thanked the Exarch of the Holy Sepulcher for his particularly inspiring and brilliant speech.

A special blessing for the faithful is the presence in the Holy Church of the miraculous icon of the Virgin Mary of the Mount of Olives from Jerusalem, which will remain for a few days of worship.
