His Beatitude Patriarch of Jerusalem Mr. Theophilos, accompanied by the Most Reverend Metropolitan Elder of Derkos, Mr. Apostolos and the Most Reverend Mr. Varnavas, visited on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, the Holy Church of Agios Georgios, in Metochi of the Holy Sepulcher in Neochori, Bosphorus. His Beatitude was welcomed by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Kydonia, Mr. Athenagoras, Supervisor of the Bosphorus Region, the priestly head of the Community, Fr. Holy Sepulchre.
The Patriarch of Jerusalem visited the Holy Church of Agios Georgios and was informed by His Eminence Archbishop Antidonos Mr. Nektarios, Exarch of the Holy Sepulcher in Constantinople, about the repair work being carried out on the roof of the church.
Before leaving for Ben Gurion Airport, in order to return to Jerusalem, His Beatitude blessed the remaining Orthodox of Neochorio.
