Fifteen Greek antiquities return from the USAtranslated

Fifteen antiquities are being returned to Greece from the United States of America, which had been illegally removed from the country. Their delivery to the Minister of Culture Lina Mendoni took place in a special ceremony at the Manhattan Prosecutor's Office. With the new repatriation, the number of Greek antiquities that have been returned since 2022, by decisions of the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, reaches 179, highlighting the constant cooperation of the two states to combat the illegal trafficking of antiquities. This development also highlights the systematic action of the Manhattan Prosecutor's Office, and in particular the Antiquities Trafficking Unit, but also the close cooperation with the Greek authorities for the return of illegally trafficked cultural goods.

During the delivery-receipt ceremony of the ancient objects, the Minister of Culture Lina Mendoni, in her greeting, among other things, said: "With today's repatriation of 15 more antiquities, it is reaffirmed that the protection of cultural heritage meets justice and international cooperation in practice.
