New Cantors in the Transformation of Volostranslated

Changes and rearrangements occurred in the Hyeropsaltic repertoire of the Holy Church of the Transfiguration of Sotiros Volos, after the passing away of the great Protopsaltos and Teacher of the art of chanting Ioannou Schoris. Specifically, by decision of Rev. Metropolitan Dimitriados, Mr. Ignatiou, following a proposal of the Ecclesiastical Council, the former Lampadari, Mr. Evangelos Pavlidis, Theologian, Deputy Director of the Music School of Volos, was appointed as the new Protopsaltis. Mr. Anastasios Pavlidis, Military, previously Lampardario of the Holy Church of Agios Modestos Melissatikos, was appointed Lampardario.

Both have Diplomas in Byzantine Ecclesiastical Music, graduates of the School of Byzantine Music of the Holy Metropolis of Dimitrias.
