Funding for the creation of an Elderly Care Unit in Northern Evrostranslated

With particular satisfaction, the Holy Diocese of Didymoteicho, Orestia and Soufli welcomes the announcement by the Minister of Immigration and Asylum, Mr. Thanos Pleuris, of funding for the creation of a Care Unit for the Elderly in Northern Evros, specifically in Dikaia tou Trigonos. It is about solving a long-standing problem that concerns and torments the residents of Northern Evros. This positive development was sealed on the 16th of September this year, during a teleconference in which, in addition to the Minister, His Eminence the Metropolitan of Didymoteicho, Orestia and Soufli Mr. Damaschinos, the Deputy Minister of Digital Governance and Member of Parliament of Evros Christos Dermentzopoulos, the Mayor of Orestia Diamantis Papadopoulos and the Coordinator of the Prime Minister's Office in Northern Greece Elena Sokou.

The initiative started after His Excellency's request to the Minister, formulated during the latter's visit to Didymoteicho last September.
