Heraklion is preparing to celebrate Saint Titus, the first Bishop of Cretetranslated

With due splendor, Heraklion is preparing to celebrate again this year the memory of Saint Apostolos Titos, the first Bishop of Crete, in the Holy Cathedral of the same name in the center of the city. According to the Archdiocese of Crete, the festival program is as follows:
Monday August 24th At 7:00 p.m. : Solemn High Priestly Vespers at the Holy Cathedral of Agios Titos.
Tuesday, August 25 On the day of the holiday, at 7:00 a.m. Orthros and the archpriestly liturgy will be celebrated, presided over by the Most Reverend Archbishop of Crete, Mr. Evgeniou.
As stated in the announcement: "At the end of the Divine Liturgy, a memorial service will be held in the precincts of the Holy Cathedral, for the repose of the souls of the Christians who were massacred on August 25, 1898, for Faith and Country, and wreaths will be placed at their memorial."
The celebrations will conclude at 7:00 pm on Tuesday with Vespers and Prayer.
The Holy Archdiocese of Crete and the Ecclesiastical Council invite the local authorities and the faithful to participate in the events for the feast of St. Apostle Titus.
