The Metropolitan of Chalkidos in Gouves of North Eviatranslated

On Sunday, October 4, 2026, the Most Reverend Pastor, Metropolitan of Chalkidos, Mr. Chrysostomos, visited the Parish of Saint Panteleimonos of Goubo, where, in the homonymous I. Church, he officiated at Orthros, presided at the Divine Liturgy and preached the divine word. In his sermon, the Reverend Mr. Chrysostomos analyzed the Gospel passage read (Luke, v, 31-36) and pointed out that the admission "do not do to others what you do not want them to do to you" or the positive inversion of "do to others what you want them to do to you" is overcome by the word of Jesus Christ, Who changes people by teaching them to they go beyond solidarity reciprocity and, like God, to have love and the intention of giving even to enemies. This commandment, not only unbearable but also unreasonable for the world, is what will change the world, if first everyone freely chooses to change themselves and become an example for those around them.
