Formal meeting of the Vice-Regional Governor of Halkidiki with the Metropolitan of Ierissostranslated

The Most Reverend Metropolitan of Ierissou, Mount Athos and Ardameri, Mr. Theoklitos, accompanied by the Proto-Secretary of the Holy Metropolis, Archimandrite Fr. Dorotheos Zervas, and Archimandrite Fr. Nikodimos Kotinoudis, was welcomed to his office by the Deputy Regional Governor of Chalkidiki, Mr. Ioannis Koufidis. During the meeting, His Eminence wished Mr. Koufidis health, strength and every success in his new duties, expressing the belief that he will successfully carry out the work assigned to him.

Afterwards, matters of common interest were discussed concerning the cooperation of the Holy Metropolis with the Region of Central Macedonia, with particular reference to the camping facilities of the Holy Metropolis, which are located in the Holy Pilgrimage of the Great Virgin Mary, while at the same time the issue of water drainage in the area of the Holy Pilgrimage of Agia Marina Modi (Retina), a project concerning the Municipality, was discussed. Volvi and the Region of Central Macedonia and is considered important for the protection of the region and the service of pilgrims.
