Three days of memory of blessed Elder Chrysostomtranslated

With the blessing of His Beatitude Patriarch of Jerusalem Mr. Theophilos III, trisayas were held for the repose of the soul of the now blessed Elder Chrysostomos, Abbot of Abba Gerasimos of Jordanite Monastery.  In the Holy Monastery of Abba Gerasimos of Jordan, on the tomb of the blessed Elder, but also in the Old City of Jerusalem, in addition to the Holy Sepulcher and in the Holy Monastery of the Holy Forerunner, his spiritual children, the Elder Dragouman of the Patriarchate, His Eminence Archimandrite Fr. Matthew, and His Eminence Archimandrite Father Claudios, performed the Divine Liturgy and the prescribed trisayas in memory and eternal rest of the blessed Elder.

Monks and nuns from Jerusalem attended, participating with prayer and emotion in the mourning for his death.

And this prayer does not stop here.

Trisayas will continue to be celebrated in many of the monasteries and Pilgrimages of Jerusalem, by the Fathers of the Holy Sepulcher Brotherhood, where our blessed Elder will continue to be remembered in the holy services and in the prayers of the Holy Sepulcher Fathers.
