The Mayor of Amorgos to Archbishop Hieronymostranslated

The Archbishop of Athens and all Greece, Mr. Hieronymus was visited today at noon by the Mayor of Amorgos Mr. Eleftherios Karaiskos, accompanied by the Protopresbyter Fr. Thomas Synodinos. During the meeting, the Mayor presented His Beatitude with a commemorative plaque, which the Municipality of Amorgos had prepared in order to present it to him during the honorary event held on July 19 in the Town of Amorgos, on the occasion of the completion of 40 years of contribution of the Amorgian Father Thomas Synodinos to the Church and the local community.
The plaque is a symbolic expression to the Archbishop, as a small token of honor and gratitude for his many years of spiritual, pastoral, missionary and humanitarian contribution to Orthodoxy and Hellenism.
