Bulgaris Daniel: The Virgin shows us that the Lord is with ustranslated

On August 16, 2026, Sunday after the Dormition of the Virgin Mary, a Patriarchal Divine Liturgy was held in the Holy Church of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary in the city of Samokov. The solemn Divine Liturgy was presided over by His Beatitude the Patriarch of Bulgaria, Mr. Daniel, who was surrounded by a multitude of clergy and people. At the end of the Divine Liturgy, the Patriarch Mr. Daniel wished the residents of Samokov for the holiday and preached the divine word to the faithful people.

After the Divine Liturgy, His Beatitude Mr. Daniel and the clergy performed the consecration in the courtyard of the Holy Church of Genesis of the Theotokos, where a traditional Sarakatsan festival took place with traditional dances. The Ambassador of Greece to Bulgaria, Mr. Alexios Lymberopoulos, the mayor of the Municipality, members of parliament and dozens of personalities from the Sarakatsan community attended.
