Shortly before the war testing the Gaza Strip completes its third year (7/10), the fathers of the Monastery of Agios Porphyrios were called once again during these years to give comfort and hope to the people who daily count losses. Yesterday, the Exodious Procession of two women took place in the Monastery. Of Maisa Dowd and her daughter, Mary, who lost their lives during an air raid on the residence on the morning of October 3rd. The funeral service was presided over by the Archbishop of Tiberias Mr. Alexios, supported by Archimandrite Silas.
The scenes of the two women who lost their lives were placed in the middle of the church while an image of the Virgin Mary was placed on top of them. With tears in their eyes, those present, relatives and friends, were there for the last farewell, with the wish on their lips that Maisa and Mary would be the last victims of this horrible war.
