Educational Arbitration Councils in Lebanon February 25, 2026 Educational Arbitration Councils in Lebanon The director of Our Lady of Bakftine Orthodox Secondary School, Mr. Beshara Habib, was appointed as an advisory member of the Special Educational Arbitration Council in the North Region in accordance with what was stated in Presidential Decree No. 2290 issued in Issue No. 4 of the Official Gazette dated January 22, 2026, stipulating the formation of arbitration councils. Private schools in the educational regions in Lebanon are concerned with strengthening the mission of private schools in terms of transparency of school budgets, setting tuition fees, and seeking to resolve disputes that may arise between private schools and parents in order to protect the student’s rights to learn and acquire knowledge.
