Nice to see that Archbishop Chrysostom himself led the service. I am particularly pleased that Father Ioannis Giokkas from Mammari was also there - I know him from a previous visit there. May the new church year bring peace to all of us.

Glad to see that Metropolitan Chrysostomos led the service himself, and Father Ioannis Gioccas of Mamari was also present. Here in the Lviv Region, we always celebrate the Indictment, even without such a big cathedral. May the new church year be peaceful for everyone.

Okay, I read carefully too. I am glad that Father Ioannis Giokkas from Mammari served together with the Metropolitan, I know him since I visited some relatives in Cyprus once. Here in Iași, the Indict goes more unnoticed, with just an ordinary service, without so much of a cathedral. How was the metropolitan's sermon, did he say anything special for the new year?

Yes, Father Ioannis was really there and supported the service. I was also in Mammari last year and found him to be a very calm and warm priest. Hopefully we will all find more time to walk and pray in the new church year.
