In the celebratory Monastery of Saint Nikanoros Zavordas the Trikala Chant Societytranslated

Pilgrimage to the celebratory Holy Monastery of Saint Nikanoros Zavordas was performed by a group of the Association of Priests of Trikala "Ioannis the Damascene". After the High Priestly Liturgy, during the feast in the Synod, the president Athanasios Dimitriou, the treasurer Efthimios Spyrou, the members Sotirios Vamboulas and Dimitrios Barlafezos and with them the Archimandrite Evangelos Katsaras, one of the renovators of the Monastery, had a few minutes of meetings with the pre-arch of the festival, Metropolitan Kydonias. Athenagoras and the professor of the Archimandrite Seraphim Monastery to whom they presented commemorative gifts and exchanged views on liturgical and ecclesiastical matters.

Fr. Evangelos Katsaras, as well as the President of the Association of Priests Min. Dr. Athanasios Dimitriou and the Treasurer Efthimios Spyrou maintain old and close friendly/spiritual ties with the Metropolitan of Kydonia Mr. Athenagoras.
