On the day of the Transfiguration of the Lord, August 19, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the St. Petersburg courtyard of the Konevsky Nativity of the Theotokos Monastery. On the eve of the holiday, August 18, there is an All-Night Vigil.

The services were led by the rector of the metochion, Hieromonk David (Alekseev), co-served by Hieromonk Vasilisk (Voronin), the housekeeper of the Konevsky Monastery, and the cleric of the metochion, Priest Roman Ryabtsev.

After the Liturgy, the consecration of the firstfruits of the harvest was performed, which, according to tradition, were brought to the church by the parishioners.

Thank God, it was nice and calm in the courtyard. I saw that people brought apples and grapes for consecration, here in Podgorica we do the same. Did the Basilisk icon stay longer in Peter or did it immediately return to Konjev?

Good that you mentioned apples and grapes, I remembered last year when my father and I went to Mount Athos and brought grapes for a blessing. However, I think the econ Vasiliskos stayed a couple of days more in St. Petersburg, at least that's what they wrote in the channel of the monastery. Thanks for the post.
