The church complex in honor of the Monk Alexander Svirsky on Garazhnaya Street in the east of Moscow is planned to be put into operation in November 2026, said Russian State Duma deputy, Patriarchal Advisor Vladimir Resin.

Vladimir Resin noted that the work has now reached the finish line, and the main construction and finishing processes are proceeding according to the planned schedule, the parliamentarian’s press service reports.

– We have scheduled the commissioning of the church for November 2026. The work is nearing the finish line. Craftsmen install entrance doors made of solid oak from a manufacturer localized directly in the Moscow region,” said Vladimir Resin. – The rector of the parish, Priest Vasily Shchur, confirmed that the parish will purchase and lay paving stones on its own in October. In addition, at the next meeting we will consider in detail the issue of purchasing and installing a special lift for citizens with limited mobility and people with disabilities in order to create a completely barrier-free environment.

It is specified that one building will house a church for 550 people, a clergy house and a Sunday school.
